Herbal Baths for Children
*this is inspiration and ideas more than an actual recipe for children during cold and flu season. most children love bath time. when they are sick, baths can be very helpful to soothe your ailing child.
Herbal baths can be helpful for a number of conditions depending on the herbs used in the bathwater. Chamomile and lavender baths can work wonders for anxious children, soothing and calming them.
When a child has respiratory congestion from a cold, a warm bath of eucalyptus and/or thyme can help clear the congestion.
To make an herbal bath, prepare a quart of strong herbal infusion using 2-3xs the amount of herbs would normally use, strain, and add the liquid to the bathwater.
Have your child soak in the bathwater for at least 30 mins to enjoy the full benefits of the soak.
